Celebrating Five Years!
It’s hard to believe that Quilting Lessons is now FIVE years in publication! It’s been an incredible journey from signing our contract to publish and entering the production phase. Once in print, we were blessed to have our devotional sold at women’s conferences and writers’ events.

Needing Repair
My heart sank as I unfolded the Irish Chain. After twenty-five years of use, the binding was separating. The quilt, a wedding gift from my mother-in-law Priscilla, needed repair. We chose to use her beautiful creation so it is constantly taken on and off our bed. As we fold it for the display rack, the fabric and binding are stressed, which cause the fibers to weaken and break. As I finger the aqua green fabric, I am determined to stitch the torn section back together.

I Once Was Blind but Now I See!
Nearly every day is filled with small blessings, some bordering on the miraculous, if we look for them. However, my cataracts diagnosis in 2019 took me by surprise and I saw no good in it. My eyesight was poor with the left eye legally blind and the right eye nearly so.

Win 10 copies of Quilting Lessons!
Thanksgiving is coming! A day that is set apart to remember all the ways that we have been blessed by friends, family, and resources. Karen loves the smell of pumpkin pie baking and the rich autumn colors of the decorations that grace the table. Ellen loves taking walks, drinking hot coffee, and enjoying the tapestry of the changing season. The holiday gives us an opportunity to look back and be grateful for the many ways that God has been working, even when it’s not always easy to see at the time.
Where Will Your Dreams Take You?
Dreams of what we want to accomplish come in different shapes and sizes. Some are born in childhood, like my desire to be a teacher. As a kindergartner, I played school with a cardboard box as my desk and paper and crayons as my supplies. I wanted to teach because my older siblings went to school. Your dream may be for adventure, a wish you hold for your family, or a desire for educational achievement. Your passion may be to start a business, become an artist, pursue musical talent, or lead others. Dreams are a wellspring waiting to be tapped.
